Neuthane 801 75D - MDI - PTMEG Castable Elastoplastic
Properties
This is a high performance MDI – PTMEG ether prepolymers designed to produce items for use in arduous application areas.
They offer:
- Good impact resistance
- Very good dynamic performance
- High Tensile Strength
- High E modulus
- Rapid cure and green strength
- Excellent hydrolysis resistance
- Excellent chemical resistance
- Good gloss and surface appearance
Typical Applications
- Wheels
- Pulleys
- Impellors
- Stators
Processing can be by hand or by dispensing machine
Machine Processing
- Process ISO at 25°C
- Process Poly at 55°C
- Tooling at 100°C
- Material elastomeric at point of demould
- Post cure 16hr at 90°C
- Typical 30 min demould time
Hand Processing
- Long pot life enables hand processing
Processing Considerations
- Pails or Drums must be melted and rolled so material is fully mixed before use
- Avoid moisture contamination of all materials
- Remove air, under vacuum, from both components prior to use
- Part used containers should be flushed with dry nitrogen and resealed immediately after use
- Good tooling temp control for high gloss and surface appearance
